Event season has officially arrived in Puerto Vallarta and the Riviera Nayarit, and there is truly no better time to start planning your visit to your timeshare in order to reap the benefits of your vacation membership.
Jardín Palmeiras is getting ready to welcome Riviera Nayarit’s first jazz festival in Nuevo Vallarta on November 16th of this year. With an intimate, sensual atmosphere, the venue is perfectly parallel to the intimacy of the music of headliner Karen Souza.
Easily making the list of top contemporary jazz singers, Souza will be showcasing many of her top hits while she headlines this jazz festival as part of her Velvet Vault Tour. Born in Argentina, Souza was able to establish her career in the U.S by focusing on transforming rock and pop songs into softer, more subtle melodies by using her gifted low pitched voice. Although she is well known for her hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s, Velvet Vault is her fourth studio album and includes hits by Amy Winehouse, Elton John and 10cc.
In addition to Souza, two local artists will be performing during the same event: Santiago Venegas and the Blue Birds with singer Lozana Díaz.
This musical event stands out not only because it happens to be the first ever jazz festival in Riviera Nayarit, but also because it has been announced that 30% of ticket sales will go towards providing aids to the victims of hurricane Willa that devastated various northern Nayarit towns just weeks ago.
The concert begins at 8pm on Friday, November 16th and will extend over approximately 3 hours. Tickets costs are $1500MXN for general admission, $2000MXN for mid-tier seating, and $3000MXN for preferred seating. All admissions include open bar and hors d’oeuvres.
