Many of us have heard about timeshare, have used it or are owners of a membership. We know that there are many opinions but today, is there a need for timeshare or is the industry simply a response to the demand?

Timeshares arise from a need. It allows hotels to fill rooms during regular or low season, managing to maintain employment stability in the tourist industry. And visitors who use vacations clubs attract other groups of tourists by inviting their friends and family to spend a great holiday with them.

According to Alejandro Morones, former Project Director of FONATUR for the last 16 years, the hotel industry in Mexico will invest about $35 billion dollars to gain a 60% increase in the supply of rooms.

The purpose of this investment is to allow Mexico to attract international tourists, therefore, the timeshare industry becomes a latent demand for both the present and the future of Mexico.

Although there are some who disagree with the timeshare model, it is undeniable that this method has become very popular in our country and continues to increase as a tourism strategy.

Therefore, the timeshare is a need and a demand for both the hospitality industry and for people who are used to vacationing. It offers a different and promising approach to tourism, bringing vacation security to tourists.
