Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit are located on Banderas Bay, known as one of the best areas in the Mexican Pacific for sports-fishing. This November, from the 11th to the 15th, 2015, anglers from around the world will once again arrive here to participate in the 60th Puerto Vallarta International Sailfish and Marlin Tournament.
It is a high stakes tournament featuring automobiles for the largest catch in both the sailfish and marlin division as well as large cash jackpots. There is also a tuna category in the fishing tournament and, with a nod to the importance of responsible fishing practices, a catch and release sailfish category.
The 60th Puerto Vallarta International Sailfish and Marlin Tournament is a family-friendly event, also featuring a popular Kid's Fishing Tournament which takes place from the docks in the Puerto Vallarta Marina.
Immediately after the tournament, the Festival Gourmet International runs from November 16th to 22nd, 2015, bringing together the best chefs from Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit and Tepic with incredible chefs from around the world.
