Timeshare ownership is so popular with savvy travelers in part because of its flexibility. For example, timeshare exchange programs literally open up a world of vacation possibilities with the promise of high quality accommodations for a lower price that traditional hotel rooms.

There are two ways in which timeshare exchange is structured:

1. Internal
Many companies, like several of the vacation clubs in Vallarta • Nayarit, own several timeshare resorts and operate an open system in which you can schedule flex weeks or spend points at any resort in their network.

2. Exchange Companies
Operating like a matchmaking service, timeshare owners sign up with an exchange company and add their share into the exchange pool with the potential times and destinations they would like. The exchange company then looks for a good match to make the trade.

Taking advantage of a timeshare or vacation club exchange means that timeshare owners have the ability to travel the world. The timeshare industry accounts for literally thousands of resorts around the world, meaning that vacation ownership lets you travel the globe with a brand that you trust.
