Once again, golf enthusiasts and foodies will be flocking to luxurious Punta Mita to enjoy one of the destination’s most anticipated events of the year, the VI American Express Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic, which runs from January 28th to 31st, 2016.
Sponsored by The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita and the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau, international chefs from around the world will be joining some of Mexico’s top culinary stars to present a weekend of fine dining, cooking classes and exhibitions, wine tastings and tequila and mezcal samplings.
Craig Stadler, winner of numerous PGA and Champions tournaments will be offering golf clinics during the event, which will also include a fierce yet friendly two-day golf tournament on Punta Mita’s two Jack Nicklaus designed 18-hole golf courses, The Bahia and the Pacifico.
The event, as always, raises money in support of the Lorena Ochoa Foundation for children, although Ms. Ochoa, who was ranked the best female golfer in the world for 3 consecutive years, has recently welcomed a baby and will not be in attendance at this year’s American Express Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic.
