Vallarta • Nayarit once again welcomed international tourism buyers and highlighted all off the many reasons that our destination is one of the most desirable vacation areas in the world for travelers.
From January 27th to 29th, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board together with the Riviera Nayarit Convention & Visitors Bureau hosted the 22nd edition of Gala Vallarta.
The event was an opportunity for local hotels and destination management companies to meet with international buyers to strengthen business ties and create tourism opportunity. This year’s Gala Vallarta brought 130 international buyers from over 60 different tourism companies to the event where they met with more than 200 local providers from the Vallarta • Nayarit region.
Events like Gala Vallarta are having a positive effect on local tourism. In 2015, Puerto Vallarta saw an average of 70% hotel occupancy and received flights from newly created routes including direct flights from Denver, Houston and Orange County.
As tourism continues to boom in Vallarta • Nayarit, the appeal of timeshare ownership also continues to grow, as savvy travelers realize the value of quality vacations at a fixed rate.
