Over four days, the CVB and 18 destination hotels presented their tourism offer to more than 500 travel agents, meeting planners, and wedding planners from the Guadalajara metropolitan area, while also participating in the traditional ARLAG Tourism Fair.
The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) engaged in a series of promotional events in Guadalajara, Jalisco, one of this tourist destination’s natural markets and home to more than 1.4 million potential travelers.
Over four days, the CVB and 18 destination hotels shared their offer and updates with 68 travel agents, 50 meeting planners and wedding planners, and 15 travel agents from the Luxury and Virtuoso segments, all of them based in Guadalajara and the Guadalajara metropolitan area.
Of note was the participation of wholesale operators IMACOP and Record Vacation and the airline Aeromar, which operates the GDL-PVR/Riviera Nayarit route.
Among the hotels presenting their offer and latest news were: W Punta de Mita, Hard Rock Vallarta, Samba Vallarta, The St. Regis Punta Mita, Hoteles Decameron, Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta, Grand Palladium Nuevo Vallarta, Maraica San Pancho, B Nayar, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, Conrad Punta de Mita, Marival Group, El Pueblito Sayulita, AM Resorts (Dreams Villamana, Dreams y Secrets Bahía Mita), Paradise Village, Grand Matlali Hills, and Hoteles RIU.
The Riviera Nayarit delegation also participated as an exhibitor in the 44th edition of the ARLAG (Associated Airline Representatives in Guadalajara) Tourism Promotion Fair. There were 450 travel agents from the Western Zone of the country present at the event introduced to the attractions that Mexico’s Pacific Treasure has to offer.
“Guadalajara is one of the leading cities of origin for tourists to the Riviera Nayarit, which is why we’re focused on the travel agents who are selling the destination. We’re the closest beach destination to the ‘Perla Tapatía,’ home to a natural market of more than 1 million 400 thousand residents,” said Marc Murphy, managing director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Banderas Bay Hotel and Motel Association (AHMBB).
These marketing efforts are critical ahead of the summer vacation period, as more than 65 percent of the domestic tourists who visited the Riviera Nayarit in 2019 came from Jalisco, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Michoacán, and Querétaro, all of which lie within the region covered by the ARLAG Fair.
Each year, ARLAG convenes tourism industry suppliers—including destinations, airlines, shipping lines, wholesale operators, hotel chains, and car rental companies—to showcase their competitive advantages to professionals from all over Mexico, with a particular focus on the Western and Bajío regions.
The Riviera Nayarit is a safe destination. Our hotels, restaurants, and tourist establishments follow all the health protocols established by the Federal Government’s Ministry of Health and operate at the allowed capacities. Access to the beaches is limited. Be a responsible tourist: wear your mask and keep your distance.
The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Bahía de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association (AHMBB) work tirelessly to collectively promote the region with the support of the Government of the State of Nayarit through its Tourism Promotion Trust (Fiprotur).
