Successful Promotional Day Carried Out by Puerto Vallarta in Guadalajara, its Most Critical Regional Market

The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Promotion Trust promoted this essential tourist destination with travel agents and wedding specialists.

The romance segment was one of the most outstanding due to the increase in demand from the national market.

As part of the continuous promotion strategy at the national level and to ensure a successful summer season, the Public Trust for the Promotion and Tourist Advertising of Puerto Vallarta had an excellent day of work in the city of Guadalajara, which is considered the main market of the region thanks to its excellent air and land connectivity.

The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Promotion Trust, in collaboration with the Jalisco Tourism Secretariat, held 2 face-to-face seminars that were hand in hand with important business partners such as the wholesalers, Imacop, and Record Vacation, in which, training focused on the Leisure and Romance segments.

The events took place on April 27 and 28; About 130 travel agents and wedding specialists attended and received up-to-date information on the tourist offers of Puerto Vallarta, the Magical Towns of Jalisco, such as San Sebastián del Oeste, Mascota, Talpa de Allende, as well as the region of Costalegre.

In the romance sector, which has been key in the recovery of tourism in the area, the offer that Puerto Vallarta has for weddings, engagements, bachelorette parties, honeymoons, and renewal of vows, among other events.

It was highlighted that after the pandemic, micro weddings became a trend in Puerto Vallarta, these events are even held on weekdays and although the international market was the predominant one, the national one has gained great strength and its importance has recently emerged. Mexican wholesalers such as Imacop have held specialized events such as the Wedding Fest, carried out in the city with 500 agents and specialists.

Likewise, the current status of the tourist reactivation in Puerto Vallarta was highlighted, which, as of the last announcement by the government of the state of Jalisco made on March 17, 2022, all economic activities can operate at 100% capacity, including capacity for events, which continues to benefit the destination.

Similarly, during the training, Puerto Vallarta was presented as a multifaceted destination that offers more than 50 outdoor activities for all types of traveler profiles, ranging from cultural, food and drink, ecotourism, wellness, sports, and adventure, among many more located in a natural environment between the sea and the mountains.

In addition, Aeromar and Viva Aerobús shared with the agents updates on their current routes to Puerto Vallarta. Currently, Aeromar connects with Puerto Vallarta through direct routes from San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes and Guadalajara, as well as Mexico City and internationally with McAllen, Texas, both via Guadalajara.

Viva Aerobús has direct routes to Puerto Vallarta from Guadalajara, Ciudad Juárez, Mexico City, Monterrey and Tijuana.

It should be noted that Guadalajara is the most important regional market for Puerto Vallarta with excellent connectivity with TAR, which has 24 trips to the destination monthly; Aeromar with 100 and Viva Aerobús with 28, which represents a total of 11,208 monthly seats to the green pearl of the Mexican Pacific.

Similarly, there is excellent local connectivity; According to Record Vacation, it greatly helps the Perla Tapatia market to continue as one of the most faithful to Puerto Vallarta, in addition to other natural markets such as Aguascalientes, León, Guanajuato, and the entire Bajío strip.

Additionally, Puerto Vallarta participated in Expo Arlag 2022 with the theme of "Jalisco is Mexico" where it shared space with the Secretary of Tourism of the State of Jalisco, hotel and tour operators in the region. Approximately 600 travel agents from Guadalajara, Mexico City, Toluca, Aguascalientes, Morelia, León, Zacatecas and Tepic attended the expo.

During this event, the aim was to strengthen the presence of Puerto Vallarta with the Airline Association and strengthen relationships with travel agents who attend from the mid-west of the country and thus continue with alliances to have a successful summer season in the destination.
