On this occasion, Puerto Vallarta was nominated by travel advisors in 7 categories highlighting elements of this important world-class tourist destination. It has become tradition in the long-awaited “Travy Awards” Gala, which rewards and recognizes the most outstanding in the travel industry in the United States and Canada, and for this 2023 edition, Puerto Vallarta has managed to increase the number of nominations compared to previous years; reflecting the positioning and preference that the destination has with travel specialists in North America and has positively impacted the arrival of international tourists in the first half of the year.
The “Travvy Awards” reward the main destinations and travel providers such as: hotels, car rental companies, cruises, airlines, wholesalers, among others; which are selected by their main users and connoisseurs: travel agents. This 2023, Puerto Vallarta is nominated in 7 important categories for the prestigious awards, as listed below:

- Best Gastronomic Destination in Mexico
- Best Wedding Destination in Mexico

- Best Tourist Office in Mexico
- Best Academic Program for Travel Agents
These nominations reaffirm the quality of the tourism product, the brand penetration and preference in sales by travel agents and travelers, but above all the importance that the destination has in the North American market; This translates into its wide range of experiences and services, first-class hotels, natural and romantic surroundings to celebrate weddings or honeymoons, exquisite cuisine with more than 2,000 restaurants and a variety of up to 30 cuisines to satisfy the most demanding palates, more than 50 outdoor activities, the best sunsets and the incredible hospitality of the most friendly city in the world.
The winners will be announced the same as every year at the official awards ceremony to be held on November 2, 2023 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Center in Florida.
In the last edition of Travvy Awards 2022, Puerto Vallarta won five of the six nominated categories. These included: Best Gastronomic Destination in Mexico, Best Tourism Office, Best Destination in Mexico, Best Wedding Destination and Best Honeymoon Destination.
