In this blog, we are sharing five places in Puerto Vallarta that you can’t miss on your next visit.

Puerto Vallarta is the ideal vacation destination in Jalisco. With its white sand beaches, festivals and cuisine, In 2023 alone, Puerto Vallarta received more than six million visitors, according to the Ministry of Tourism (Secturjal).

Las Caletas Beach

Las Caletas beach is located 19 kilometers from Puerto Vallarta. A true coastal paradise with turquoise waters that stretches along 800 meters of virgin coastline, next to Quimixto, in the municipality of Cabo Corrientes. It should be noted that this beach can only be reached from the sea, and it was also owned by Hollywood filmmaker, John Huston.

La Playa del Amor

This beach is hidden. Located in nature, away from the city, it is known for its beauty which has captivated both tourists and locals. Playa del Amor is considered a private oasis of crystal clear waters and white sand, it is located in the Marietas Islands just off the coast of Puerto Vallarta.

Isla del Río Cuale

An oasis of tranquility in the center of the city where visitors can enjoy the market and various cultural activities.

Marina Vallarta

As its name says, Marina Vallarta has an exclusive marina full of yachts, boats and cruise ships. It also has a great native plant biodiversity, bringing you closer to the Botanical Garden where there is a suspension bridge.

Zona Romantica

The Romantic Zone is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Puerto Vallarta and although it has new architectural construction projects, it is still usually known as Old Vallarta. Here you can visit local businesses, as well as Los Muertos Beach, Olas Atlas, and Las Amapolas. One way to get to the Romantic Zone on foot is along “El Malecón”, or boardwalk, which ends at the Lázaro Cárdenas Park in Puerto Vallarta.

Finally, we also recommend visiting El Malecón, an esplanade with 12 intersections around it. Appreciate art galleries, crafts and street performances, among much more.
