We are in full whale watching season in Vallarta-Nayarit and many locals and tourists set out onto the waters in our Bay of Banderas to witness this beautiful spectacle of nature. However, we must not forget that the destruction of our seas and oceans is a painful reality and that all marine life is suffering the consequences.

In order to raise awareness of this global problem, the award-winning documentary Sonic Sea is being presented in Puerto Vallarta. The film calls for the protection of our oceans and explores the importance of sonic harmony in the sea, and how the devastating effects of industrial and human noise in general are wreaking havoc on marine life, especially whales and other species.

Sonic Sea will be screened on December 21 and 28, as well as January 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Projection locations:

December 21 - Holly Beach - "Holly Oasis"

December 28 - Los Arcos del Malecón

January 3 - Playa Los Muertos - "Sapphire Ocean Club"
