The movie “My Boyfriend’s Meds” filmed in Riviera Nayarit, was recently released. It features Jaime Camil, Sandra Echevarría and Hollywood actress, Brooke Shields. The Imanta Resorts Hotel Punta de Mita was the venue where the movie was filmed, which had as its setting the wonderful locations of this tourist destination.
Filming took place from July 20 to August 22, 2018. It was directed by Diego Kaplan and produced by Ben Silverman and Jay Weisleder.
“My Boyfriend’s Meds" is about the story of Hank (Jaime Camil), a businessman who suffers from obsessive compulsive disorders, attention deficit and dyslexia. He tries to hide all of his conditions to impress Jess (Sandra Echeverría), a marketing executive whom he falls in love with and goes with to a work event on an island. Upon arrival, Hank realizes that he forgot his medications, so as the days go by he brings out his true personality for Jess to witness.
Camil captures the consequences of a person with different mental problems and disabilities when he neglects his treatments. According to the actor, the purpose of the film is to talk about taboo topics and invite the public to not reject those who suffer from any condition.
