Once again, the Riviera Nayarit was in the spotlight on the international stage when it took home the gold as “Best Destination in Mexico” during the 2021 Travvy Awards, in addition to a second gold statuette for “Best Wedding Destination in Mexico.” The Riviera Nayarit also took home four silver awards for “Best Tourism Board – Mexico,” “Best Culinary Destination – Mexico,” “Best Honeymoon Destination – Mexico,” and “Best Luxury Destination – Mexico.”
With these six awards, the Riviera Nayarit became one of the most awarded destinations during the ceremony held on Thursday evening, November 11, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Florida, attended by the “crème de la crème” of the global travel industry.
The event organized by Northstar Travel Group gave out more than 270 awards to recognize the top suppliers, destinations, technology providers, and attractions selected by those who know them best: travel agents.
Executives from Newlink Communications and Public Relations agency collected the Riviera Nayarit’s trophies on behalf of the managing director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau, Marc Murphy, who stated that receiving a Travvy is considered an honor in the travel industry.
“The adjective that best describes the positioning of the Riviera Nayarit brand would be ‘successful,’ said Murphy. “However, this would never have been possible without the support of the different sectors of society, the tourism industry, and the private initiative in general, with which Riviera Nayarit has worked hand-in-hand, not to mention the federal, state, and municipal government authorities.”
“It is a great honor to receive these acknowledgments; they encourage us to continue to offer our best. We reiterate the commitment of the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Riviera Nayarit and the Hotel and Motel Association to be the destination that meets our visitors’ travel expectations. Indeed, we are a safe, modern destination that offers world-class amenities while respecting the environment. These awards represent the opinion of thousands of tourists who have experienced the luxury and nature offered by our destination, and the effort that our people make to provide the best possible service to our visitors,” he said.
Of note is that the Riviera Nayarit won a gold or silver award in all six categories in which it has been nominated since July of this year.
