Visit Puerto Vallarta during Semana Santa

Puerto Vallarta continues its position as the favourite tourist destination for tourists mainly from Canada, the US, and Europe. During March an occupancy close to 80% has been reported and there are already reservations for 100% occupancy during Semana Santa. Meanwhile, the spring break season has already started and will last until the first fortnight of April.

Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit have reinforced their tourism campaign together. They intend to reach international markets to continue positioning these prevalent tourist destinations that have become the favourites of travelers around the world. A recent statement reported that the Public Trust for the Promotion and Tourist Advertising of Puerto Vallarta and the Tourist Promotion Trust of the State of Nayarit signed an agreement that generates a joint purse of 3 million dollars.

These resources will support the promotion of Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit tourist destinations in the United States, Canada, and Europe, mainly. The alliance will continue its strategic collaboration and initiatives to drive the regions towards receiving a greater number of visitors.

Proof of this work is the 2022 edition of Gala Puerto Vallarta – Riviera Nayarit, where important business meetings are held with leading wholesalers, to ensure the sale of room nights in the coming holiday seasons.

The Puerto Vallarta International Airport is also achieving a successful reactivation. So far, it has recovered most of its national and international flights, in addition to the integration of new routes.

Tourists who visit Puerto Vallarta will witness the traditional religious performances of Semana Santa. If you walk the Malecón, you will probably see these presentations. The iconic parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe celebrates masses in English at 4:00 p.m. every Saturday and bilingual services at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays. In general, on Sunday there is a large influx of parishioners. Also, the Anglican church offers bilingual services on Sundays at 10:00 am.

Whether visitors want to experience the Easter celebrations in Vallarta or enjoy the sun and the beach, the pearl of the Pacific awaits them with open arms.
