MEXICO RECOGNIZES 45 NEW "MAGIC TOWNS"

The Secretary of Tourism of Mexico City (SECTUR) announced the addition of 45 new "Magic Towns" (Pueblos Mágicos). Currently, there are 177 localities with symbolic attributes, legends, history, and a wide variety of gastronomy.

During a press conference, the Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco Marqués, informed that in the call for the appointment of "Magic Towns" in 2023, they received 123 applications from twenty-seven states. Eighty-seven of them had complete documentation, and 45 met the requirements.

Torruco emphasized that the 45 new "Magic Towns" are ready to welcome tourism, with the aim of achieving recognition and continuing the commitment to work hand in hand with local governments. They possess essences, experiences, colors, flavors, and folklore, and they are prepared.

The new "Magic Towns" that are joining are:
